An award winning Animation and Vfx graduate from Vancouver Film School, Canada, Mukti has worked with Disney and institutions alike prior to her career in live-action.
She moved on to make documentaries and advertising commercials traveling the length and breadth of India. Her documentary ‘Raqs – e – Inquilab (Art in a time of Conflict)’ set in Kashmir, India, is featured on MUBI and The Atlantic Selects. A Mumbai-Mantra Sundance fellow, she was awarded a fellowship grant for her screenplay by Asia Society under the theme, ‘Making heroine the new hero’ in 2016. She has been awarded a fellowship from DCSAFF (DC South Asian Film Festival) for Emerging Writer and Director in SouthEast Asia, 2015-16.
Mukti lives and works in Mumbai, India and is currently developing her feature film.
